Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
I am passionate about mental health awareness, and I value therapy as a place where you can finally be honest about what you’re carrying, without feeling judged or having to have everything figured out first. It’s easy to keep going and take care of everyone else while quietly carrying things you don’t always have a place to talk about. I believe therapy should be a place where you can take a breath, slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and learn that you don’t have to navigate it all alone.
As a bilingual counselor, I want you to feel understood not only in the words you use, but in the experiences, relationships, culture, and expectations that shape your life, and to express yourself in the language that feels most natural to you.
If you’re nervous about starting therapy, you don’t have to come in with the right words or know exactly what you need. We can start right where you are.
No tienes que tenerlo todo resuelto.
REVELA offers secure virtual therapy throughout Texas in both English and Español. You’re welcome to move between languages in session and use whichever feels most natural. Before getting started, you can schedule a 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
What to Expect from Therapy
This is your time, your space, and your journey.
Therapy begins with what brought you here and what you hope to gain. Your goals guide the way.
Sessions are a space to explore thoughts and feelings, gain insight, build coping skills, and consider new perspectives in a supportive, nonjudgmental setting.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy moves at a pace that respects your readiness for change, and your voice and choices stay central.
My Approach to Counseling
Individualized, collaborative, and practical.
I draw from CBT, person-centered, and solution-focused methods, shaped around your goals and preferences.
These approaches offer different ways to explore thoughts, emotions, strengths, and possibilities for change. Together we build self-awareness and practical strategies.
Your input guides the direction of sessions, and the approach adapts as your needs evolve.
Faith and Personal Values
Your beliefs and values have a place here.
Faith or spirituality can be part of our work whenever you would like it to be.
Your beliefs and values are your own, and they are respected throughout.
REVELA is welcoming to people of all faiths, those who do not identify with a faith, and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

How private pay works.
Counseling at REVELA is private pay, which means sessions aren’t billed through insurance. Here is what that looks like in plain language, and the questions people often ask.
Session Rates
- 15-Minute ConsultationA free conversation to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.$0
- Initial Intake SessionA comprehensive assessment to discuss your history and goals, and create your personalized care plan.$140
- Individual CounselingA standard session using a collaborative, person-centered approach to help you navigate life transitions, stress, or personal growth.$125
- Individual Counseling, ExtendedAdditional time for deeper exploration — best when you need more room to process complex emotions or work through specific challenges.$130
Pay per session
You pay when you book, through the secure client portal. HSA and FSA cards are welcome, and your Good Faith Estimate confirms costs before your first session.
Why private pay
Insurance billing requires a mental health diagnosis, and a plan may ask to review treatment records. Private pay keeps those decisions in your hands. It is a choice, and it is not right for everyone.
Superbills for reimbursement
A superbill lists your service dates, what you paid, and codes your plan may ask for. If you have out-of-network benefits, you can submit it for possible reimbursement — ask your plan about your deductible and any session limits first. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Start with a free consultation
Not sure if this is the right fit? Talk with me for 15 minutes, at no cost and with no obligation, before you decide.
Checking your out-of-network benefits
If you plan to ask your plan about reimbursement, these questions can help. Reimbursement is never guaranteed.
How do I check my out-of-network benefits?
Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits for an initial intake assessment (CPT 90791) and individual therapy (CPT 90834, or 90837 for extended sessions)?
- Does my plan reimburse for these services when they are provided by an LPC Associate practicing under a board-approved supervisor?
- Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met?
- After my deductible is met, what percentage of the session fee does my plan reimburse, and is there a limit on sessions per year?
- What do I need to submit, and by what deadline?
Diagnosis and medical necessity
To process a superbill, insurance plans typically require a mental health diagnosis code (ICD-10) to show medical necessity. A diagnosis is based on a thorough clinical assessment, ethical standards, and Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council rules. Diagnoses are never altered, invented, or exaggerated to secure insurance payment. A diagnosis also becomes part of your insurance record, so please ask any questions before you submit a superbill.
This checklist and the billing codes listed are educational only. Insurance plans vary, and your plan decides what it will reimburse. REVELA cannot guarantee how your insurer will respond, cannot promise reimbursement, and is not responsible for how your plan processes or denies a claim, including decisions based on a counselor’s license type.

Teen and adult figures come from SAMHSA’s 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, the most recent national survey, released in July 2026. National surveys take about a year to publish, so these are the newest numbers available. The surveys use different definitions, so numbers are not directly comparable. Check each link for updates. These figures are general education, not a diagnosis.

Schedule a Free 15-Min ConsultCommon questions.
What type of counseling do you provide?
REVELA Counseling provides virtual counseling for teens and adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, and personal growth.
Who do you work with?
I work with teens and adults. For clients under 18, Texas law generally requires a parent or legal guardian to consent to counseling, so a parent or guardian is part of getting started.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. All sessions are held virtually through secure video. You need to be located in Texas during each session.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Sí. Counseling is available in both English and Español.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?
Yes. REVELA is a welcoming, affirming space for LGBTQ+ teens and adults. You never have to explain or defend who you are here.
Who will I be working with?
I am Susan Cáceres, an LPC Associate licensed by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. I practice under the supervision of Traci Wagner, LPC-S and Laura Cintron, LPC-S. I talk through my work with my supervisors, who follow the same confidentiality rules.
How much do sessions cost?
Counseling is private pay. Your session fee is listed in your Good Faith Estimate before your first session, so there are no surprises. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions may be available, so please ask during your free consultation.
Do you accept insurance?
Counseling at REVELA is private pay, so sessions aren’t billed directly through insurance. Many clients use HSA/FSA cards, and a superbill is available on request for possible out-of-network reimbursement. See how private pay works for details.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes, with legal limits that I explain in writing before we begin. You will review and sign an informed consent document before we begin.
What happens during the first session?
The first session is a chance to talk through what brings you to counseling, share your goals, and get a feel for how therapy can support you moving forward.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?
That is completely normal. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy begins with simply starting a conversation.
What if I am in crisis?
REVELA is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. If you are in danger, call 911. You can also visit Crisis Support.
